About

Allan has logged over 10,000 hours working with top performers and their teams from his early work consulting US Olympians to advising senior executives in over fifteen industries globally.

Allan’s career is distinguished by being one of only 650 recipients worldwide of the Master Certified Coach designation awarded by the International Coach Federation. In addition, he has more than 25-years’ experience impacting top-performing teams and individuals in corporate settings ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies.

Allan’s value has less to do with what he says and more to do with what he sees. He has an innate gift of recognition: an ability to have the leader to ‘know again’ the best (the heart) of who they once were, but has been buried.

EVP, FORTUNE 50

Allan is the author of Bold Moves, Out of the Question: How Curious Leaders Win and Who Are You … When You Are BIG?

Prior to starting his own company in 1998, Allan served as a consultant for one of the world’s leading career transition firms, Drake Beam Morin and held key leadership roles for Marriott International and with TMI USA, an international human resources consulting firm focusing on performance management, customer service, culture change and human relations.

He holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and studied with Dr. Martin Seligman, the leading thinker on positive psychology.

Allan and his family reside in Arizona.

Philosophy

The success of great leaders depends on the capacity to respond flexibly to the broad ecosystem in which they find themselves. Leaders of the future must move beyond compartmentalized behaviors, increase their flexibility, sharpen their judgment and craft their purpose to achieve the legacy-defining impact they are destined to realize.

Your survival as a leader depends on learning to harness and direct your inner voice toward external goals. This is the highlight of every leader’s journey— when your inner self and your outer state are united. Only then can greatness be achieved.

My work is focused on developing leaders who thrive inside and outside the walls of their companies: in the context of their teams, with their competitors, in the increasing transparency of public media, in their communities and families. Each environment calls for different ways of being, reacting and leading. The full-spectrum executive is what I call that special leader who develops the capacity to manage all these dimensions. When I work with you, we are building your capacity to become that multi-dimensional leader.

If you are a self-aware leader at the peak of your career, my leadership strategy will elevate and amplify your impact. Because there is no playbook for leading powerfully in all domains of your life.

Who Are You … When You’re BIG?

It’s a simple but essential question that can change your life and the way you lead. To be “BIG” isn’t about ego, title or money. It is about accessing your core inner values and strengths. When you are BIG, work becomes easy and effortless, even in the face of great challenges. This book holds the tools and resources to develop that inner power and discover your individual brand of authentic leadership – from the inside out.

To be BIG, simply means to be in your most resourceful state, and you can step into that state at any moment. It is a place of hope and possibility, where you can live and lead intentionally and courageously. When you know who you are when you are BIG, you become the kind of leader who thrives instead of merely survives. And, when you lead from BIG you will discover that those around you will become BIG too. Soon you will be asking, together, “Who are WE when WE are BIG?”
